Blog by Year 3

We acted out a gift the Holy Spirit could have given us. Our gift was to believe in and spread the word of God. Shelby stood on a chair and pretended to tell us all about God. Me and Kaitlyn pretended to pray.

Yesterday we went to the concourse shopping centre and took photos on the Ipads.

We took photos of  Nye Bevan Swimming pool, the Library and the Youth Centre. It was fun! :)

This is the dance routine the children have been learning in their dance lesson with Miss Aldridge. As you can see they have tried really hard and we are really proud of their progress.

Miss Hulse

Yesterday we went to Farington Recycling centre to learn all about how to reduce, re-use and recycle. We got to see the huge amount of waste thrown out each week in Lancashire and how we can help to reduce this. We all enjoyed ourselves and were shocked to see all of that waste!

Year 3/4 

This week we have been learning about direction, turns and co-ordinates in maths. The children managed to draw a huge co-ordinate grid on the playground and then had to find their way to the co-ordinates they were given. The children enjoyed themselves whilst learning  :)

Today was World Book Day in our school and all of the children loved dressing up. We had some fantastic costumes from Dennis the Menace to Elsa to Where's Wenda. Children designed a book cover for their favourite story and listened to a new story. We had lots of fun! 

Year 3/4

This week we have been exploring the Iron Man book. We performed an Iron Man poem to the class and gave each other feedback on what was fantastic and what we could do to improve next time. We definitely have some brilliant actors/actresses in y3/4 and all children tried their best to get in to…

Today we went to Liverpool World museum.  We discovered  lots of things about the Stone Age. We tried some jobs the Stone Age people did. Best trip ever!!!

We painted our volcanoes. We painted them to show the inside.On the other side we made it look like a normal volcano.

Today we started to make papier mâché volcanoes.  We used newspaper, flour and water.  It was a really messy job but we all had great fun!  This links in with our topic work.

In computing we made powerpoints of volcanos. Everyone in the class

enjoyed it. It was really fun. We learned that when lava is in a volcano it

is called magma.

Today we created fossil prints from pasta, cotton wool, string and buttons. We copied our favourite fossil and then printed it on to paper. We really enjoyed our Art work and it linked with our History topic.
