Cakes
We made rainbow cakes this morning as part of the Macmillan coffee morning we were really busy mixing all the ingredients and are looking forward to taking them home.
Potatoes
Today we were very excited because we saw how many potatoes we had grown. When we counted them there were 39 potatoes they were different sizes. Tomorrow we are going to have them for snack.
Hinduism
We have been learning about Hinduism and the celebration of Diwali where they have special food. We made some of the sweets that Hindus have and shared it with others in school we also took them home to share with our families.
Butterflies
Today we said goodbye to our butterflies. It was time to let them go and find a new home. They enjoyed resting on the flowers in our garden and hopefully we will see them again.
Butterflies
Our first butterfly has come out of it's cocoon. We have given it some sugary water, a mashed up pear and some flowers. We are now waiting for the other butterflies to come out of their cocoons.
Caterpillars
At the end of last week our caterpillars arrived. We will watch them grow eating the special food in the cup. When they go into their cocoons we need to put them into a special net to watch them hatch as a butterfly. We have to take care of them and make sure that they don't get knocked…
Spirit of Romero Day
As part of Spirit of Romero day Foundation Stage found out about who Blessed Oscar Romero was and created a mosaic of him which will be displayed in school. It was great seeing the image emerge as we added the tiles to the cement.
Peter Rabbit and the Easter Bunny tea party
Celebrating 150 years of Beatrix Potter in style. The children had a special bunny sandwich, cake and biscuit for their special tea party today. Some of the children tried food they hadn't had before and some of them even liked it!

Bottle greenhouse

Ash Wednesday
We have been learning in our Come and See work about 'Gathering' we gathered together this morning for Ash Wednesday where we all received the ashes in a cross on our foreheads. This is a sign to show that we love Jesus and it is the start of Lent.
