Paper bag game

Image of Paper bag game

Today we have been looking at differences between our local area and a city in India. We pretended we lived in India and had to make paper bags to sell to survive. They were very tricky to make and we realised we are very lucky to live in Skelmersdale.

The naughty Elf

Image of The naughty Elf

When we came into year 3, we saw a naughty elf on the book shelf. He wrote  hello year 3 and knocked some books down. He is so naughty! He even broke our chocolate advent calendar. We're hoping he doesn't do anything silly over the weekend.

Today we have been to year 2 to perform our poems. We learned them with actions. My group was about beasts and crocodiles. Some other groups were about sand and an old wall. It was fun but I was a bit nervous.

Year 3 rocks

Image of Year 3 rocks

We have been learning about different rocks. We dropped rocks in a jug full of water and thought about whether they would sink or float. We learned that  rocks from volcanoes float in water. Their holes are filled with air. That is why volcano rocks float. Some rocks sink.
