Welcome Back to Year4/5!

I'm really looking forward to a hugely successful year with you all!

Today we visited the home of Wigan Athletic FC and Wigan Warriors RLFC, The DW Stadium. This was our Class Curriculum trip and we were very lucky to be visiting here. 

We had a great time going around the stadium and we sat in the 'posh!' seats.

I really enjoyed looking at the changing rooms…

We have been looking at a book called The Shaman's Apprentice. It is good becasue it tells you all about the different plants that can be used as medicine in The Rainforest. I like to know about the different plants and flowers that can heal people.

Last week we started to look at Rainforests. We looked at a video about Rainforests around the world and I liked it. It was narrated by David Attenborough!

Yesterday the Y5s completed their two week Orienteering course. They worked brilliantly well together in order to find their way around a map and used wonderful communication skills to complete some really difficult problems. Well Done Everyone!

Today we have been adding materials to our bridges.

I have enjoyed it today because we have done a lot of teamwork.

I am excited to test out my team's bridge.

We have been doing Jackson Pollock Art work. Jackson Pollock is a famous Artist and I like his Art work because it's colourful and messy.  He uses all sorts of stuff to paint with. He spends lots of time doing pictures.
